  • FBLA will host a bake sale this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during lunch. 
  • THANK YOU to EVERYONE who participated in our Pink-Out Competition this year! 
    •  8th Grade Homeroom Winner: Stewart

Monday, October 26th, 2020

  • FBLA will host a bake sale this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during lunch. 
  • Congratulations to the SGA winner!

  • Pink-out results will be announced tomorrow. 

 

Friday, October 23rd, 2020

  • Congratulations to the Academic Team with their victory over Rockmart yesterday.  They finished their regular season 6-1.  Region tournament will be next Thursday here at AMS.

  • Boo Grams will be sold today in the cafe during lunch.  The prices range from $1 to $5. 
  • This is the last week to turn in basketball permission forms to Coach Brookshire.  Be sure to have a physical on file.  Tryouts will start next Monday.

  • Students interested in participating on the wrestling team need to turn your forms into Coach Harris by Monday. Practice starts on Tuesday. 
  • After Thursday's donations for the Pink Out Homeroom Competition the winners are:

     6th: Mrs. Ridley's class has gained control first place again with Coach Hardin close behind.

     7th: Coach Creel's homeroom remains in first place, but Ms. Glancy's class is in 2nd place.  

     8th:  Mrs. Fowler's homeroom has climbed to first place, and Mrs. Stewart's class now controls 2nd place. 

 

Thursday, October 22nd, 2020

  • This week is AMS SPIRIT WEEK.  Tomorrow's dress up day is SPIRIT Day.
  • Boo Grams will be sold today and tomorrow in cafe during lunch.  The prices range from $1 to $5. 
  • This is the last week to turn in basketball permission forms to Coach Brookshire.  Be sure to have a physical on file.  Tryouts will start next Monday.

  • AHS football tickets will be sold at AMS tomorrow from 7:30-8:30 in the front lobby.
  • After Wednesday's donations for the Pink Out Homeroom Competition the winners are:

     6th: Coach Hardin has pulled forward into first place.  Mrs. Ridley's class is now in 2nd place.

     7th:: Coach Creel's homeroom has jumped into first place, but Ms. Glancy's class is in 2nd place.  

     8th: Ms. Mroczko's class is in first place. Mrs. Fowler's and Mrs. Stewart's class are pennies apart for 2nd place.

    Continue to bring in donations this week.  Friday is the last day to to make a donation to support Mrs. Angie Hice at Adairsville Elementary who is fighting breast cancer.

  • Today is GREEN DAY for connections. 
  • This is the last week to turn in basketball permission forms to Coach Brookshire.  Be sure to have a physical on file.  Tryouts will start next Monday. 

  • Cross County will have their region championship meet this Thursday at Dellinger Park in Cartersville come out and support our Tigers.
  • Congratulations to Samantha Gough for finishing 4th place in the State Middle School Cross Country Race!
  • Yearbooks are still on sale.  See Mrs. Whitlock for an order form.  She is located in room 37 on the 8th grade hall. 
  • Congratulations to Jarrett Scott and Jackson Mealer for winning Big Fish at the AHSBA Fishing Tournament on Saturday.

  • Anyone running for Student Government needs to be sure to record their campaign video in the media center during their connections class any day this week BEFORE FRIDAY!!! Thursday is the LAST DAY to record a campaign video.  If you don’t have a video recorded by Thursday, your name will NOT be on the voting ballot next week.  We will be showing the campaign videos and voting for Student Government Representatives NEXT WEEK. 

  • After Tuesday’s donations for the Pink Out Homeroom Competition the winners are:

     6th: Mr. Hardin’s homeroom is in first place, but RIDLEY is close behind!

     7th:: Ms. Glancy’s homeroom is in first place, but FREEMAN is close behind!

  • Academic meet against Cass Middle for today has been cancelled.  Cass had to forfeit, so AMS academic team is still undefeated!

  • Pink-Out Information: This year AMS will host a modified version of our annual Pink-Out benefit.  AMS will begin a homeroom competition TODAY and go through next Friday, October 23rd, to raise money for Pink-Out.  The top homeroom will win a Chick-fil-a breakfast. This Friday, we are asking all students and staff members to wear PINK. 

  • AMS will host a Spirit Week next week, October 19 - 23. Additional information can be found on the AMS Daily News Tab on our website.
